DESCRIPTION:The public is invited to participate in the 13th annual Park Appreciation Day on Saturday\, October 13\, 2018\, 8:00 am to noon. Park Appreciation Day provides volunteers the opportunity to give back to their community and help beautify La Mesa parks by assisting in projects that include planting\, picking up trash\, raking\, painting\, trimming and weeding.  All ages are welcome. Individuals\, service groups\, and faith-based organizations are encouraged to sign up ahead of time. All participants are encouraged to bring their own gloves and tools such as trimmers\, shovels\, rakes\, pitchforks\, trowels\, and lopping shears.
