We need to gather ALL of our items by Monday\, November 28th\, to be sure we have time to assemble and wrap them all prior to the delivery date. All of the gifts are wrapped and placed in decorative baskets\, so that our seniors receive these gifts with a festive flair. These gift baskets are delivered along with a hot turkey dinner\, with all of the trimmings to the seniors selected by the La Mesa Retired Senior Volunteer Patrol.\n\n\n\nHere are items that we suggest you can purchase to donate to this year's gift baskets: 24 canned soups\, 24 canned vegetables\, 24 canned fruits\, 24 packets of crackers\, 24 packets of pasta or macaroni & cheese\, 20 slipper socks for women\, 4 pairs of men's socks. 24 bars of soaps\, 24 tubes of tooth paste\, 24 packs of tissues\, 24 bottles of hand soaps\, 24 bottles of hand sanitizer\, 24 pens and pads of paper. Gift cards in any denomination from the following locations: Walmart\, Target\, or any grocery store. If you have another item you believe will put a smile on their faces\, by all means drop them off!
