It is the goal of the Chamber to collect\, purchase and assemble items and place them in large gift baskets. These gift baskets are delivered along with a hot turkey dinner\, with all of the trimmings to the selected seniors by the La Mesa Retired Senior Volunteer Patrol. The date of this year's delivery is Friday\, December 18th. The deadline to receive the gifts for our seniors is Friday\, December 11th. This will allow time to wrap all of the items\, prepare all of the gift baskets and purchase the items needed we believe will make this holiday so special for these wonderful members of our community!\n\n \n\nHere are items that we suggest you can purchase to donate to this year's gift baskets: 22 canned soups\, 22 canned vegetables\, 22 canned fruits\, 22 packets of crackers\, 22 packets of pasta or macaroni & cheese\, 18 slipper socks for women\, 4 pairs of men's socks\, Gift cards in any denomination from the following locations: Walmart\, Target\, or any grocery store\, 22 pens and pads of paper. If you have another item you believe will put a smile on their faces\, by all means drop them off!
