9th Annual Transportation Expo
The City of La Mesa will be presenting the 9th annual Transportation Expo on Friday, October 12th from 9 am to noon. Everyone is welcome to this free event to learn about transportation options for older adults, visit with local vendors, and enjoy a complimentary breakfast. A keynote speaker will introduce RideFact, an agency that provides transportation seven days a week to seniors (60+) in all San Diego County cities for a nominal fee, as well as referrals to local transportation agencies. A representative from the Center for Health Education and Advocacy will discuss topics related to health insurance for seniors. Scheduled vendors include Elderhelp of San Diego and the Grossmont Healthcare District Herrick Library. Enjoy two low impact exercise demonstrations designed to help participants stay fit and active. Free flu vaccinations will be provided by Sharp Grossmont Hospital from 8:30 am to 11 am. This event will be held at the La Mesa Community Center, located at 4975 Memorial Drive in La Mesa.
